Stereo Convector
Just pulled the original stereo convector out from under the dash.
Does ANYONE buy these? It seems like it'd be hard to find one if you were looking for a factory restoration.
Or should I just sell it to a buddy for the germanium transistors?

Re: Stereo Convector
Sell it/Give it to your friend. I have never seen anyone look for one of those. Maybe someone else will chime in but like I said, I have never seen anyone look for that piece. Good luck.

Re: Stereo Convector
Agree...only chance you have (and, it's a slim one) of selling it is with wide exposure such as on e-Bay. Even at that, I doubt you'd get enough for it to make it worth your while...and, be prepared for a long wait to find a Buyer.

Re: Stereo Convector
Thanks guys. I figured but didn't want to throw away a part someone might want.
Very little documentation on these things. It's pretty cool they were able to do "Fully Transistorized" audio amplification all the way back in '76. They just output too much heat to be within the head unit.
