Cut a hole in the original tank, and installed the Aeromotive Phantom 340 kit. Braided stainles steel lines and Aeromotive fuel filter.

Still working on the project, but will for sure be up and running when spring comes :-)

Where did you mount it? In front of the original sending unit? There just isn't much room back there. In front of the sending unit looks to be about the only spot to put it so it's not wedged under the trunk floor. I've been looking at the Aeromotive system & the holley system with their hydramat system. I called Holley & they said the hydramat will keep the pump supplied under hard acceleration even with low fuel levels. Similar to the aeromotive system with the foam basket. The hydramat lays on the bottom of the tank.

I personally believe that the foam basket contains more fuel than the hydromat, so if you are low on fuel, you will more likely not starv the engine.

It seems that the picture is showing just fine in my last reply :-)

Thanks for posting the pic. Is that going to clear your trunk floor ok? I was thinking of mounting it in front of the sending unit. Cut and seal off the lines to the sending unit for room.

You are right about it being close to the trunkfloor, I had to cut a litle piece of rubber, that I placed were the trunkfloor "rails" meet the tank. But that just has the positive side effect, that the fuel will run to that side where the pump are :-)

I used banjo AN fittings and steel braided rubber lines....then there are plenty of room :-)

If I remeber correct, I only bouhgt the long "banjo bolt", and used an normal 45 or 90 degre AN on the other line.

I will try and take a picture the next time I go to the garrage...

Thanks for sharing the info, I'll pick the parts up and do the install. I'm going to mount in front of the sending unit, That will have the most room. I still may have to put some spacers between the tank and the floor. I'll post up some pics when I do it.
Good luck on finishing your project, It looks like it will be bad a$$ when done.

I made hardlines for mine and only had to lightly clearance the floorpan to clear them
