Re: facebook page?
What's the point of having a forum website and a facebook page for the same forum? Wouldn't it be more helpful to have all information and conversations in once spot so you can easily research issues? If people use the facebook page and reduce the usage on this forum, then what's the point of this forum? Will the forum cease to exist along with all of the information? Is the owner of this site okay with you creating a G3GM Facebook page? What's the point of donating to this site if there is a Facebook page?

Re: facebook page?
For me, I have 2 reasons.
First, I'm in facebook several times a day so it's easier access.
seconded, the forum will get tons more exposure from views on facebook than it does floating out on the web.
As part of the joining process that the forum has much more info and that for tech, etc questions to go there. It just takes a bit of forward thinking to make both work in tandem.

I'm the same way, but mostly 'cuz IT is my field and by the end of the day I'm completely fed up. Last thing I want to do is waste my down time staring at the screen perusing FB.
That said, I know I am the exception, not the rule. Most people I know love FB, and I can see where having a FB presence couldn't do anything but help the group. I'm just not volunteering to be that guy.

Re: facebook page?
I'm on face book daily, but mostly because of friends and family that live far away.. Many of my friends are in Hawaii, so it's easy to keep up...

Re: facebook page?
Since we're sharing feelings and stuff, the problem I have with Facebook is that all the content (and your personal data) belongs to them. Â As Steve Wozniak said "It's turned into money but none is returned to you for providing your data".
Sometimes ya can't stop progress and maybe more users will find G3GM as a result.
I am also a computer nerd who's in front of a screen all day and feel like thatfnthing does at the end of the day.

Re: facebook page?
I have a FB account, check it once a month or so, twice a year I may even post something! I do have one for my business, customers seem to check it out so I have an employee that part of their job is keeping it current.
I know it may not be the way I personally do business, but there are many that do so it has become necessary.
