75 s3 4-speed console?
Hi people . This is my first post(question)
I bought a 75 Laguna that somone swapped in a 454 and added a M21 4-speed with a bench seat.
i would like to swap out the bench with buckets and add a console.
My question is what console will fit (any one have one? ) as far as is their other G body cars that share the same console?
DOES ANY ONE HAVE ONE OR LET ME KNOW WERE TO GET ONE?
Of course all the after market do not have parts for the 73-77 chevelle lol
thank you

First of all, what you have is an "A" body. "G" bodies were the next generation of downsized cars (1978 +).
You have a decision to make with swapping to bucket seats. Assuming you want to stay with period correct ('73-'77), you can go with a standard bucket from say a Cutlass, Century, Grand Prix/Grand Am and retain your existing front outer belt retractors for mounting. Or, you can go with swivel buckets that will require different front retractors. Either way, you'll also need to add inner mounting brackets to the floor pans for the seats.
As for a 4-spd console, they are hard to come by...and, expensive. Chevy consoles were unique.

I personally like a floor shifter and a bench seat.
As Mcarlo77 stated, there's a lot more involved on our cars than simply removing your bench and bolting in a pair of buckets.

There's that awesome faux 4-spd shifter, again! Love it!

Thanks Steve. It has fooled so many people of the 40+ years I've owned it.

I know the Cutlass and Grand Am had a 4-spd console and could probably be made to work...but, those are probably more rare than the Chevy ones.

Re: 75 s3 4-speed console?
I took a 1971 montecarlo console and cut the backend off. Then i made custom sides from ply Wood and used a centerbox with lid from a 1978 camaro. I put it all together and used fiberglass to fuse it all together. Then i had the interior shop wrap it all in Black lether, making it look factory. Its sits perfekt between my swivel seats that can turn without hitting it. It took some time of course and cost was only kept Down due to me having the horseshoe shifter and console from the Monte on he shelves. However those are availeble aftermarket and plentyfull used. An original abody console are made of unobtanium and impossible to find. A camaro console could also be a possibility.
