Not answering with my heart, but with my checkbook, I say Yes. I've got 2/3rds of that in mine right now (including original purchase price) and, well, I aint nowhere near the state of that car nor will I dream to be with only 5,000 more to spend.

Car is beautiful. Just got to keep in mind that it's a non A/C, L65 (2 barrel) 350, automatic, bench seat, and NON Tilt (ad says Tilt wheel but it clearly is not when you view the pictures)

Hard to say.
Whenever I think these cars are still affordable, I see one sell for twice that.
2 weeks later, a similar car will go up for sale for 8k and sit for months with no takers.
I watch G3s on ebay and CL all the time. There really is no solid reason for why they sell for what they sell for...or don't.

I agree...
I agree with RoadCaptain...I got my first 74 Chevelle in 1985...have had several since, and now a 73 Laguna...some list for big money and sell fast, others hang around for a while. There is no rhyme or reason, beauty is in the eye of KEYholder...that 73 SS on ebay is nice, but I have seen better, maybe not SS's, but more loaded up and nicer overall A bodies...keep looking, I think you can find better for less...will keep looking and post 'em as I find them...D

Re: Is it worth $14,995?
Owning a 73 SS I am hoping mine will be worth that some day. My car has had a resto (not by me) different motor, trans ect. This ebay car being its a survivor 39K car, original paint I would say yes. I would be more excited if it had Swivels, console and air. I have about 8K in mine if you want to count the new GM crate I put in it, I would trade mine plus $5K for it and be a happy man but I doubt that would happen if I showed up looking to trade. LOL

Re: Is it worth $14,995?
It May seem to be a High asking Price. But remember that alot of foreigners looking for a car to import, is looking at Many of these sites that has classics for sale and looks like they now what they are doing. And for a guy from say Europe like me a car that looks in original and good or exelent condition, 15000 dollars is not alot of money for a Nice car. A car like this could easily sell for 25-30000 dollars once it is here. In my own opinion it is a little to low optioned and only has a 2 bbl 350. That makes it more of a 10 grand ride to me. But again if it is rustfree and in exelent condition, it is Worh alot more than a rustbucket to me cause i know how expensive and time consuming it is to have a alot of rust issues. I would pay more for a rustfree car with low options than vise versa. But like i always say when whats it worth comes up, is that its worth exactly what a buyer is willing to pay for it.

Re: Is it worth $14,995?
Answer: YES
Why....."Starting with nothing".....its very unlikely that anyone could build that car for less.

Re: Is it worth $14,995?
Yes it would be hard to build one for that. Looking through their feedback I see alot of "best offer accepted" Start at 12K and go from there.
It is optioned oddly. Gauge package and little else.

Re: Is it worth $14,995?
I had a '76 El Camino SS some years ago. Nothing great about it, just another plain-jane vehicle. No AC, bench seat, etc, and just the stripes & round gauge panel. Waste of money for whoever bought it new... And the '77 Elco Classic I bought new was a really nice one, with all the goodies on it...
The SS stuff doesn't do anything for me..but that's just me !

Its all relative. I am sure the Elco Classic Had a much higher sticker price then the Stripped down SS you had.pila wrote:I had a '76 El Camino SS some years ago. My SS Equipment cost the original owner $245. If you had Air on your 77 it probably ran in between $350 and $400.
