New history on my car. Empty New history on my car.

For those of you that do not know, my car was written up in a magazine article in December 2008 (http://www.hemmings.com/hcc/stories/2008/12/01/hmn_feature26.html). Last weekend, Jeff Koch, who wrote the article, forwarded me an e-mail, and it said this:

"I just happened upon an article written by Jeff
Koch on 12/1/08 titled 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo about a guy named Kyle
Loucks. The 1974Monte Carlo he purchased was my Great Grandma's -
Gladys Haywood. The original owner, her husband was Kelly Haywood that
he mentions in the article. The were the original and sole owners.
That car sat in the garage for YEARS after Kelly passed away. I just
thought that Kyle might want to know a bit more history."

I got the car from a used car lot, who got it from the estate sale of Gladys. I always assumed that Gladys was the daughter of Kelly (Mother dies, daughter got the car kind of deal). But, they were husband and wife. I have a service record from October of 1980, and the mileage on it was 53,901.

Pretty cool!
