no fuel to carb

Added 10 gallons of fuel,to my next project,73 GP,and cannot get fuel,through the lines.
Changed out fuel pump,and tried 2 hand held pumps,still no luck.
Obvious problem points to sending unit,but Ive never seen one,totally air locked.
Car has 200k on it,but its from California,you can eat off the undercarriage.
Your thoughts?

I'd be first checking the rubber hoses connecting the fuel sender to the hard lines for cracks. Probably rotted after all these years.

X2 on the hoses.....some leak, and some deteriorate internally. Had one leaking on my '74 Malibu some years ago.

I dont see any rubber visible,only solid metal line to tank,condition of the car is unbelieveable,tank looks to have its original finish.
Too bad the roof is in such poor shape,but after inspection,of the rest of car,roof is getting professionally done,just need to get it running.

Only other thing besides the rubber lines at the tank, is maybe the gas cap? Vented vs non vented could cause an issue maybe. Once you get the rubber connection between the tank and the fuel line removed, shoot some compressed air thru the metal line to make sure its not blocked.

Rubber lines are there you just can't see until you get up there because the top of the tank is where they are.

If you just need it to run for now you can put a can in the engine room and hook it up to the pump. That would get it running for now. Just be careful and use a can that is not leaking fumes or can Tib over ect. I have had fuel sending units that was blocked from sitting to long. Tha fuel turn into varnish and can Block of the filter in the end of the fuel sending unit. Also the pipe going from the sending unit top to the fuel Line, can rot or the rubber fuel Line is rottet so it sucks air.

My friend had a 70 T bird he got out of a barn after sitting many years. I unloaded a can of pb blaster in the line with the front of the car on a jack so it would go towards the back then left it a day or so. The took a air line and blew it back into the tank (cap off) it worked! Got car the car running.
