Anyone know if the Monte Carlo lenses will work in the Chevelle bumper?

I don't have a definitive answer for you. But, I can tell you the Monte turn signal opening in the bumper is about 7" wide x 2 1/8" tall.

Thanks Steve. I will measure the chevelle ones to see if they are close. I searched OPGI for new Monte housings and they are not available but they are for the chevelles, although they do not give the dimensions.

Looks to me like the Monte Carlo lens would be flat compared to the Chevelle lens where it meets the bumper. That would make the Monte lens face down if installed in the Chevelle.

Yeah...good point. I seriously doubt the two are interchangeable.

Ah shoot, I didn't even realize they mounted differently. I doubt they will fit either. I was looking at the size and not how they mounted.

What kind of modification did you have to do to make them fit Limey?

Re: Monte Carlo 76-77 clear front turn lights vs 74 ElCamino
you can do it one of two ways
Trace the yellow one's mounting holes onto cardboard template, then transfer that to the Monte Carlo turn signal and trim where needed the Monte Carlo is a little deeper in
Second option which I found super easy get the heat gun out to loosen the adhesive backing on the Monte Carlo Bezel and Malibu Bezel and they come off reglue them and silicone them to keep water out and done
Got it done in about 90 minutes time total, Oviously have to change to a Yellow Bulb here In Illinois I dont know your areas regulations for turn signals Jeff you maybe could get away with Clear where your at Since Some newer cars use a Clear front one anyways
