1.25 front sway bar with 1.5 rear sway bar?
I looking at picking up a 1.25 front, & was looking for a rear to go with it & found a 1.5 inch.
How will that work out? Too much in the rear? Don't want an over steering monster.

That A$$ will definitely stay planted. Ha. But yea, in theory, it will understeer in hard cornering. Not recommended. Where did you get a rear bar that big?!?!

Here's another the one I saw was $99 + shipping.

I also think it will give you understeer. Since that bar is straight across I assume it would have to go rearward of the diff cover. Our stock bars and the caprice bar have bends in them to go around the diff.
Wonder how that bar bolts on and what it looks like.
Ad also mentions Grade 10.9 hardware which is metric so you would just reuse your original hardware unless you installed the late model sway bar inserts in your arms.

Actually a big bar in front would promote understeer, big in rear oversteer.
I just don't know how big I should go in the rear with a 1.25 front bar.

I doubt that would work as well as the Impala SS bars and 9C1 police package bars on our cars for they Don't configure for our cars See Enclosed pic, That is from the aforementioned Imp SS / Police Package The top pic is the regular sway bay the bottom in the SS / Police Package

Thats what i was saying above. Â The bar they show is straight across with no noticeable bends. Â It would have to install rearward of the diff cover.

Right I know Joe Was just showing him the difference for the bend around the rear end, I don't see how that straight one would install on our Cars

Re: 1.25 front sway bar with 1.5 rear sway bar?
I can't offer a lot more than anecdotal information as I can't remember the whole reasoning behind this but. Â I put a 1.25" bar up front from a TA and the 1" 9c1 police bar out back. Â The car drives a whole lot nicer now, it's not a slot car but it's a lot less like a sofa with wheels.
I should mention I had no bar out back and the stock 15/16" bar up front.

If you look at it closely it really doesn't need the bends it will go under the rear in a straight shot.Joe73 wrote:Thats what i was saying above. Â The bar they show is straight across with no noticeable bends. Â It would have to install rearward of the diff cover.

I bought that bar yesterday. Having trouble paying for it though. I am trying to get something worked out with the seller.
Anyone have the pieces I need to bolt it up?

Little late on this thread but I came upon some pics of that straight style sway bar on our cars. Looks a little out of place to me, but if it does the job then great.
