Anyone here have Lemans cars? GM Production Codes?
Are Lemans just not popular at all? Looking over the forum I rarely ever come across somebody with one. I have 2, a 76 and a 77 coupe. Neither are special, just base models but their mine, have had them both on the roads at times. I'm wondering about finding cosmetic parts? I've of course scoured ebay over time, but rarely ever find anything. Does anyone make stuff like dash pad covers? Interior trim pieces? fender repairs? bumper fillers? etc.
I'm also interested in somebody deciphering the body tag on these cars? I'm just having no luck with this stuff. Anyone care to elaborate?

On the first tag, I'd guess that C08 stands for full vinyl top, since that's what it means for my 73 Chevelle.

You are correct in that it seems there are few Lemans being restored. Personally, I don't understand it as I think they are just as cool as the other "A" bodies. There are a handful sitting in a salvage yard I visit and pull parts from...so, keep that in mind if you're looking for anything. Matter of fact, I just pulled a RH sport mirror off a '75 yesterday. Be glad to help out if possible.
First Tag:
-11M is white interior trim
-28L is Athena Blue Poly body
-A52 is bench seat
-19X is black interior
-CO9-11T is full vinyl white top
-03D is date code (03=March, D=4th wk)
Sound like what your car looks like?
Second Tag:
-07B is date code (07=July/B=2nd wk)
-48L/48U is Bershire Green Poly (Dark Green) body
-A52 is bench seat
-64P is Buckskin interior
-B84 seems to be a RPO code for Body Side Moldings?
-C60? whatever; seems to be a RPO code for type of A/C (manual or automatic)?
-D35 seems to be a RPO code for outside mirror (Outside Rearview Custom)?
B84/C60/D35 are my best guess based on Chevy Service Manual info. Not sure why they would list options like these on the Body Tag.

They both sound really pretty, I love blue and green cars both. The Pontiac and Buicks need more love out there. If you do Facebook look for Rick Lightfoot or the 73-77 "A" body site too, he can steer you to other Lemans guys. I have a 73 Grand Am and a 75 Grand Am. Same basic body anyway. Nice to see other Pontiacs guys on here!

You are correct - B84 is body side molding; C60 is Air conditioning.
Options listed on the cowl tag are specific to Fisher Body (meaning, you won't see chassis/powertrain items on there unless it is affects the body). The intent is for it to be a service record, like a SPID label (service parts ID label, on today's vehicles).
