Power lock actuator Rod
I seem to haveisplaced one of my power lock actuator rods fory car. I just need 1 and I don't think it matters which side it's from. This is the stiff rod from the top of the power lock actuator to the door lock mechanism. I hate when stupid little parts get lost and hold up the whole project. Please contact me if you have one to spare or can pull one off a parts car. Thanks.

Re: Power lock actuator Rod
I don't think that's what he's talking about, that's for manual locks... If it is what he needs

Re: Power lock actuator Rod
Those are similar but not the same shape or length. I need the rod from the popper solenoid in the door up to the lock mechanism. It's about 8" long with a double bend on one end and a 90 degree bend on the other. The rod has an offset in it also. I can post a picture of one if needed.

Re: Power lock actuator Rod
I know it has been awhile but I am now assembling my doors and could really use this linkage if anyone has an extra. Again this goes from the power door lock solenoid to the door lock assembly. either side will work... Thanks again

Just trying again to find one of these rods. I really need it so I can close up my doors and move on.

Re: Power lock actuator Rod
Maybe you want send a PM to Mcarlo77 -- he might be able to turn one up on his next trip to the yards. Â Seem to have a fair number of G3's out there...
Or maybe JZSSP -- he has power windows for sale in this thread:

Maybe he had power locks too...

Re: Power lock actuator Rod
Yes we do, but it'll probably have to wait til spring now.
Besides, with all the remodeling on the new house, my car is under an embarrassingly huge pile of sawdust right now.

I'm into redoing the house also right now but my car is safely tucked into the back garage.

So even though I haven't found the actuator rod yet, I decided to moch up the door panels. These are original to the car. I was going to replace them because they were really bad but thought I would try to redo them. Everything used was original, right down to the switches and ashtray. Here is how they turned out. What do you think?
As soon as I find the missing piece for the power locks I can mount them for good.

Re: Power lock actuator Rod
I went out to a local guy today that is stripping a 1977 monte and scored the rod I needed. I also took a few more goodies.
I did this even though I have been sick and bedridden for 3 days now. I couldn't let this part elude me any longer. The things we do....
