Hello! My name is Bob. I live outside of Lincoln Ne. I own a '76 El Camino SS Which I have owned since 1989. I paid $750 for it back when I was in high school. I fell in love with it, it had a 400 cid with a cam, Holley 750, headers, fiberglass L88 hood along with big wide cragar rims with 50 series BF Goodrich tires on the back! I will try to post pictures. It has been torn apart for the last 22 years. Back when my wife and I were first married, I had the bright idea of doing a frame off restoration to it. Well you know how it goes, the kids come along and your project gets put on the back burner. So now the kids mostly all grown up and money isn't so tight, it's time to get busy on it. I was wanting to have it done for my 25th class reunion, but since that is this year, I can rule that out. I have started replacing the rusted out floor pans, of which the drivers side is almost completed. I only have to replace rear floor pan on the passenger side 😊. Then I will have to move on to the rear quarters after that. I will try my best to document and post photos for everyone to enjoy. Looking forward to interacting with and learning more about A bodies from everyone on here! Thanks!

I has a '76 SS some time ago. Currently have a '75 body-off project that is nearly finished. Keep us posted on your progress !!

Hi Bob! Welcome to the forum. It's great to hear from a fellow enthusiast in the area. My name is Patrick and I live in Omaha. I have two Laguna S-3s. A green one that used to be my dad's, and a silver one that I've built(am building) myself from ground up basically. Looking forward to seeing the progress pics and maybe see it in person at one of the local shows someday. Very Happy

I am also part of the "heartland chevelle club", which is a local car club around the omaha/Lincoln area. They support all years of chevelles including our forgotten 73-77s too! lol If you would be interested. Welcome!
