Re: what is your winter or daily driver
Bought it brand new. 2007.5 (new body style) 2500 HD, 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel. 660 ft. lbs. of torque at only 1600 rpm. 3.73 axle. G80 Locking diff. 4x4. Just turned 45K on her. Only used for bad weather, hunting season and towing a bass boat. Sony radio with 200 watt Alpine amp driving a 10" Pioneer down firing subwoofer in custom box.
Seen the same truck run high 14's bone stock at the track. But have to do it in 4 wheel drive due to wheel spin.

Re: what is your winter or daily driver
No photos (other than part of it in the background of my avatar), but mine is a 2010 Silverado 1500 4x2 that has served me well -- gotten me through all kinds of crappy weather and hauled everything my wife asked me to for our many projects.
Just before Thanksgiving someone bumped the rear end with a POS Astro van. Did hardly any noticeable damage, but knocked the 'O' off the name on the tailgate. The very next day the girls in the office snickered about my 'silver rod', and still do. I was going to replace the 'O', but now I'm not so sure...

Re: what is your winter or daily driver
I drive a 2002 Chevy silverado 2500 diesel. I bought it brand new. It has a 120K on it now. Best truck I ever bought. Installed a pioneer system and speakers with two 10" MTX sub enclosure under back seat. Also added the Edge with Attitude for some extra horse power. It pulls the 32' camper like nothing. The box looks like new as it has a bed rug in it and only hauls Upholstery items. If I need to haul some thing else I use the car trailer. " />

Re: what is your winter or daily driver
My daily beater is a 94 Olds Bravada that I bought a few years ago for $500, has power everything (and shockingly it all still works), leather, AWD, and gets decent mileage.

Re: what is your winter or daily driver
'87 Chevy pickup. Fuel injected 4.3L V6, MY6 overdrive manual trans (New Process A833 w factory Hurst shifter), 3.73 axle.
I ordered this truck and followed it down the assembly line when it was built. Drove it off the end of the line and over to the shipping building myself.
I sold it to my father in law in 1991; when he passed away in August of '08 the family asked if I wanted it back. I didn't initially (it was pretty beat cosmetically) but my situation changed so I said yes.
28 years; 206k miles. Never been in an accident and never been apart.

Re: what is your winter or daily driver
Nice, Keith. There is a '86 Chevy step side Down the street from me (no motor, had a 454) I'd love to get my hands on, but NFS, it will probably rot to the ground. Hasn't had a motor in over 20 years, 16,000 miles on body.

Re: what is your winter or daily driver
"Yes, it has a cop car motor. No, you can't drive it"
Frankly, none of my cars are any good for the winter. Not that Southern California gets real winters That a side, the Chevelle hasn't got a posi or power steering. The Elcos a beast. It spins the tires in the dry. In the wet, only the speedo moves. I can't even get her to pull away from a stoplight. Fun but, useless. Now the Buick is hurt. It's the best of the three because of this. It only gets wheel spin if its good and wet. Problem being, the LT1 is not good in the rain. Something here about the distributor being on the front of the engine. Now who hell designed that.
However, once I move I'll fix this.
