Re: Laguna Renderings
Nice set of renditions! I'm liking the two-tone themes. My faves would probably be pic #1 & #4.

Re: Laguna Renderings
I like all of them. To be honest I like the last one best, looks very simple & clean as well as a nice color (looks a bit like the factory Light Buckskin).
I've toyed around w/ similar two tones also but have not come up with something I like that deals with the transition from the door and where is meets the rear quarter & roof. Your transition looks good but I wonder what it would look like if you carried the line over just a bit more & took that straight line out by tapering into the roof line, maybe like this? (Sorry I only have "Paint.net" LOL)

yeah its that damn high up sharp ridge on the rear quarter, most other cars had soft body curves. but I saw a two tone grey and silver with that sharp edge and it doesn't look bad. what kind of ideas did you have maybe I can help you out, as you can see im fairly proficient with photoshop.

Re: Laguna Renderings
I'm kinda likin' the turquoise combo -- I haven't seen that color look good on a car since the 50's models. But here it's very eye-catching, and you don't see it much in the wild.

I agree originally I was very partial to the orange and white cause again its uncommon, weither it would be the orang and white two tone or the all orange with the stock white stripes and loovers. but once I did the turquoise and black, I was like.... for something so dark that stands out. and as you said, its not something you see. but you have to get the shade of it just right. don't want it too blueish or greenish.

Re: Laguna Renderings
For me personally I like this one.

Ever think of using the cream top color (add a super small size rainbow metal-flake to the cream clear coat) and candy apple red for the bottom color. That would really pop in the sun light, Just a thought.

Re: Laguna Renderings
Interesting, ill have to see how that looks in photoshop. its hard to get a true sense of the colour digiatally because sunlight and metal flake, and different finishes can make the difference

Re: Laguna Renderings
Kind of crude here but this is what I meant. You can also make out the line that is similar to what your renderings have. This is a better angle.

Re: Laguna Renderings
I bought the PPG Vibrance Custom Paint Color Charts/Chips so I could see what color I really wanted and could look at them in the sun, over cast and dark just to make sure I liked what I wanted.
Not sure if you are painting it your self or having someone else shoot it. But may be worth the money to see them upfront.
Here is My candy red color and a cream with rainbow flake. Monitors and photos just don't do well so keep that in mind.

Re: Laguna Renderings
yeah I see what you mean. but it still bugs me it doesn't follow the bodyline at the back of the door, but that's just me. its a tricky body line to follow, that's probably why you don't see many two tone lagunas and Malibu's
I like those colours too. I used those to design something for an 80's olds at one point the metal flake is nice, but what really worked for the olds was a silver top and maroon bottom with a separating stripe.

Re: Laguna Renderings
I know I would go with the VFN hood NOT The one you have on there ..... The VFN one will goal the way to the edge of header panel instead of stoping a few inchs shorter

That 2-tone is my favorite, too!
But, all of 'em are great renderings!

Ive always liked this one that has 69 Chevelle SS hood bumps & grilles grafted on (ignore the ridiculous wheels)

Re: Laguna Renderings
yeah low profile tires and oversized rims have no business on a muscle car, and this so called "donking" stuff is retarded

i like the red and white but only have one minor issue withit. im canadian...... its a little too patriotic for me. lol. but it combines the original colour and the tribute to the laguna i was raised in.

What do you mean too patriotic, eh? I bet your Laguna was built in Oshawa like my car was.

Re: Laguna Renderings
If you REEEEEALY wanna be Canadian- go for this scheme. This is the 76 Olympic Edition Chevelle from GM of Canada. Might also be an interesting way to two tone using those lines.
