Hello all, my name is Tony and I have a '75 Chevelle/Malibu 2dr Colonade coupe...that I had purchased 14 years ago .This is a solid "base" model, built in Oshawa, Canada..equipped with a low miles inline 250, turbo 350 auto trans..power steering, power brakes. No A/C, no power windows or door locks, no rocker trim .Was equipped with wheel well fender trim..Green..no vinyl top..and the bare bones interior door panels..mylar strips and Malibu emblems..no pleats, buttons etc ..has the two tone vinyl seats. just getting ready to replace fuel tank..as car had sat for numerous years .and became heavily clogged with debris.. Finding it difficult to find replacement upper ( drivers) door panel with same design..No aftermarket availability for the low end models..And SMS can replicate for $700..

Well I dislike the buttons
I know what you mean about the base model upper door panels being hard to find. I have a Classic sedan so 4 times the difficulty. Never liked the button design on the Classic and was looking to swap the base uppers in, but haven't found any. I think with a coupe you will have better luck eventually.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Yes, welcome Tony. You certainly do have a rare one on your hands. Those door panels are very hard to find. I've got a few pieces in very rough shape from that style of panel but have not found any decent ones in many years of searching. Hopefully someone here on the forum can hook you up with a good set. Look forward to seeing pics of your car.
