7 Cutlass NOW LSX SWAPPED
Car pretty much looks the same, but i got some better pictures ill post up. after a main bearing issue followed by a converter issue followed by a fuel issue, I have had some time to take the car out. New best time of 12.44 at 106, new converter and lower gears made a big difference. Last year best pass cold weather was 12.75 at 99. I cant wait for a little cooler weather.

Re: 7 Cutlass NOW LSX SWAPPED
What gear ratio are you using now?
So maybe 12.5 @ 105 in the chill, or are you expecting a better time?

Re: 7 Cutlass NOW LSX SWAPPED
After working for a while trying to get it wrapped, i have finally given up and found someone to finish the body work and paint it. Most likely will be Fords Sterling Grey Mettalic

I would love to take mine to a road course somewhere to push it a little and see what it will do.

Crash bars out and attacked door with a whole saw, (32lbs)
Cage was welded to the rotten trunk pan not the frame

Re: 7 Cutlass NOW LSX SWAPPED
I can't see the pictures here at work, but if the bar isn't welded back in yet, make sure the rear bars attach to the top of the upper spring mount in the car. This area needs some strength.

Ray, The bars go down inside the trunk, they are actually welded above the body mounts about dead center of the trunk

Re: 7 Cutlass NOW LSX SWAPPED
See if this works, I am trying to post a link to a trunk picture of a 67 Chevelle. You may have to scroll through to the trunk picture. At the top of the picture you can barely make out 2 diagonal bars that go from the top of the spring mount to the two rear bars. I assume your bars come back like this car does. When I had my 70 done with the small tire, I had mine go straight down through the package tray to the spring mount.
