I saw that tonight Velocity is going to air the episode of the '77. I believe this is the one that they put a Laguna nose on it. I've never seen this episode, just knew about it from reading post.

I remember several years ago, overhaulin did a G3 monte. If I remember correctly they did it in a "surfer" theme.

The surfer themed one you are thinking about was the '77 elcamino mentioned above.

I bought the DVD after the show. Typical Foose: get rid of marker lights and door handles and smooth it out. It did use a Laguna front end and was pretty when he got it done.

Wasn't that the car where they cut up a '69 SS hood and added the "bumps" to the '77 hood?

That always got me about the custom builds. They do away with the marker lights and now its not street legal anywhere in the country. 1968 was the first year the U.S. DOT required all cars have marker lights.

That was really strange...you'd fail inspection here for sure.  Can't imagine Cali is any different.  I did like what they did to it over all- especially the splicing together of the two hoods- that was done magnificently.

BTW- Courtney Hanson looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay different w/o all that make up and bleach blonde hair, eh? Suspect

Here in Ohio, there is no inspection. There would never be a problem. Same with removing bumpers on trucks

Since she's been hosting the Powerblock on Spike, whenever I'm watching Trucks or Muscle Car, my wife will ask "What's Whoretney wearing today?"

That hood was really cool. And I agree Courtney Hanson looked better then, more natural.

The law governing vehicle safety in the US is the U.S. Department of Transportation law.  Any vehicle sold in the US has to be compliant.  Even is the state doesnt inspect, doesnt mean your safe.  Other entities enforce the laws as well.  Matter of fact, anytime we remove or modify our vehicle emissions we are in violation.  Even to the extent that its a crime to sell a car or use it on public roads after removal or modification.
Law states everything that came from the factory must remain intact and functional.  No one really abides by the law but you can run into problems from time to time.
I've been witness to vehicle confiscations by local law enforcement for emission mods.
This is just FYI guys, I used to do this for a living.  LOL.  Nothing worse than getting pulled over by someone who knows cars.  LOL. And yes, my car is NOT compliant.

If I had the funds I would splice the older skylark / gs scoops on my regal and possibly the trunk spoiler

I think the design of some foose wheels are nice, but a little to flashy for me!

The front end looks great, with the early S-3 (?) nose.  The wheels don't fit my personality Very Happy
Removing marker lights was a dumb idea, just to change the appearance a bit....

After seeing some their "overhauls" in progress, I've wondered just how durable they are...
