anyway its a "74 base chevelle. the original 350 has #416 305 heads, a cam , edelbrock performer rpm intake , hooker headers, msd ignition. the original turbo 350 has a trans go rebuild with a coan stall converter. the original rearend has a powertrax locker with Richmond 373 gears. the interior is 76/77 cutlass supreme with a hurst dual gate shifter thrown in for fun. posting this was more an excuse to try posting without using photobucket. (something I was unable to do before)

Yeah the new photo bucket sucks. As for the stickers I just keep acquiring them so I find places for them, both tool boxes, garbage can, cabinets, etc. I dont put any cool (or vintage) ones on my garbage can though.

I dont mean to knock your efforts, do you do any drag racing? Well either way, If that is a standard lead/acid vertical plate battery. You will be asking for problems. I've been told not to mount plate type batteries in that position because the forward acceleration of the car can and will cause the plates to contact with each other and short out the battery, especially when doing hard launches. Just saving you some aggrevation.

That's been like that for years, and honestly this is the first time I have ever heard this. When you say "that way" do you mean that the terminals are front to back, instead of side to side?

Re: a video of my car, with a forum "shout out"
Yes, I did some research several years ago about this(don't remember where I saw it tho). I honestly did that, and the battery shorted out on me. It could be a cheaper battery that I had, or maybe it was old when I installed it that way. I have since turned the battery to where the top posts are left and right as you look into trunk. On my elco, I mounted the battery like you did but I'm using an optima battery instead of a plate style. If its been like that for years, than maybe I'm overthinking things, or maybe I heard some bogus info. Either way, I really like the car, I have the same body style as you. It allows me to see how it would look with sidepipes, I used to run the slotted mags also, I still have them in fact! 15x10 rear and 15x3.5 fronts. The tire size I run now are too big for rims. Not really, they don't have the proper backspacing.

Re: a video of my car, with a forum "shout out"
My car came with a audiovox am/FM/8 track with a five band equalizer mounted right below the radio. Since I've had my car so long I was able to go to the stereo shop and have my pick of shaft style radios. I still have the 8 track player, I dug it out a while back when there was a thread about members wanting to retrofit 8 trackplayers.

Do you want mine?, I'll never use it. It worked in 1995 when it was removed.

Did you build that console?

Re: a video of my car, with a forum "shout out"
No, console is out of a '77 cutlass. I managed to score it from a local junkyard in the late '90's for $20.00. They are a lot harder to find (and expensive) nowadays.
