Evapo-Rust?

Evapo-Rust?
I've been sanding on the '75 Laguna trying to remove surface rust with naval jelly and it's not very effective, has anyone tried using Evapo-Rust? I can't afford to splurge on soda blasting and prefer DIY hand-sanding to prep for priming.Anyone know what body repair shops use?

I always use a product called ospho. I buy it from the paint supply place. Its pretty inexpensive And seems to work good.

I use a product called Phix. http://www.ppcbest.com/phix_treatment.htm
This stuff is awesome. I buy it by the gallon. When my cars came back from meida or sand blasting they start to flash rust right away. I sprayed it on wiped it off and the car sat for months and never rusted again. It leaves a Zinc coating when you wipe it off with a damp cloth.

Thanks guys,
I'll research those metal treatments while I tweek my naval jelly method.Ant7377,thanks for the link,I was letting the jelly dry overnight which was obviously useless.

Re: Evapo-Rust?
I like the evapo-rust but I've only used it to soak rusty parts & not as a treatment. I works very well for soaking.

Re: Evapo-Rust?
I read where you can apply it with a spray bottle so I might try it.Someone claimed they used it that way to clean a rusty frame.

Re: Evapo-Rust?
It's good. $20.00/gal @ Autozone here ($30 @ Harbor freight). I might try it that way too. I think you have to keep it wet also & not let dry. Let us know how it works.
