Sounds to me like you are asking too much from that little 350. I am not familur with the model # for your 350, but if you do not have an extremely hot cam and big heads you do not want your gears too low. 3.08 sounds about right for what you have and are asking from it. You get 3.73 gears and you WILL run out of steam in high RPMs. I have 3.42 gears and it is a pain at 70 MPH, it's not comfortable. I can stomp down on the gas and spin my back tires at 70 MPH, but am running 540 cubes with about as many ponies. JB

3.42 are not comfortable with a 1:1 final gear in a trans which is what at TH350, 400 and muncie have. 3.08 would fit your needs.

you dont have to get a box just to get it working. take the cable that comes out the firewall and feed it to your tranny,swap out with other cable already hooked up to the tranny and Wala.
