best way to patch hole in laguna roof?
Is there an easier way to patch a quarter-sized hole in the roof than cutting a section out from the inside to gain access from inside car?The headliner is removed anyway but maybe there is a better method?I don't mind the work but want to be sure I'm using the best method. Thanks again.

well the best way would be to access it from inside the car with a small patch and weld it in then bondo over. but if you want to do it all from the outside cut a patch to where it kind fits long ways, and use a magnet to hold it there while you tac it in place, then bondo.

Even Jesse from overhaulin knows about the magnet method. She used it on the 67 maro they did. They shaved the door locks.fishhead wrote:Thanks! I never thought of the magnet method.

I some times Tack weld a small bolt/screw or scrap to hang on to it like a knob when slipping it in a hole. Then you can pull up on it when you tack it in. Then grind off the tack and remove the handle. I have a stud gun that works great for this also.
You can also use this and install two half moon's to make your patch and weld up the center line if no access to the back side.
