Agreed...however JB- I've never seen an El-Camino with those hood decorations before. Your car is really cool- was that an option package or something custom?

That is a 1970s J. C. Whitney special. Trouble is it started to lift at the edges recently and I tried removing it. It was a big mistake, I tried everything and could not get it all off. I loved that bird, but they are no longer available. The closest thing is the Firebird emblem avauilable from Pheonix graphs. I can't remember if that is the correct spelling or not. Probably not. JB

Didn't mean green was bad, just sayin you can change colors. I personally dislike firethorn red so bam gone!

Well you have good pics- I think nowadays they can custom make graphics that you can stick to the hood.
& I can't wait to get the yellow off my car.

Re: Official Show Us Your Car ( 73-77 )
I have to stare at "old dirty shirt beige" and "dead celery green" on the wagon and "raggedy money green" on my 76 for now. So your yellow isn't all that bad to me..

My green 77 as it is now.
As it was when I got it 3 years ago.
My parts '77 It looks solid, which the frame is, and everything I want off it, but the floors are shot along with almost all the interior trim thanks to it sitting for years with the windows down and the passenger side rear quarter looks to be victim of a shredded tire

My 73 SS 454 Wagon
My daily driver 77 Malibu Classic
My Project Base Model 76 Chevelle
My Project 75 Laguna S3
Believe me, this car was way to gone to save, and had a lot of aluminum panels in place of the rusted stock panels, not to mention the nearly 2 gallons of Bondo on the roof! But it sure was fun to drive! I regret selling this one back in 2008!

Also took advantage of our unusually mild weather and took the 'Guna out for a little test drive. Was pleasantly surprised at how well the engine ran once I got the disconnected and misrouted vacuum lines straightened out, some parts replaced and a tune-up. Wasn't really expecting much when I bought the car. An added bonus is that the tranny was supposedly rebuilt by previous owner.
Hate the small tires, but these are what were on the parted-out '76 Laguna and are like new. They'll have to do for now as we want to take care of other things first. Have a lead on a built 400 engine that is supposedly making over 400 hp. Need to go through the brakes, do the interior, etc. over the winter. At least there isn't the endless rust repair I was facing with the '76 'Guna.
Makes me sick when I think of how this car was just 1 day away from being purchased for a Demo Derby car when I snatched it up this past June.

Here is my 77 called Ghost Rider. (named by a lady at our first car show) believe it or not all the trim and chrome is original.
