Some will say it was the 1966 427 Cobra (12.20@118 )
Chevy fans will say the 1966 L72 Corvette (12.80@112)
Reason being is the Cobra was tweaked by Shelby (so not technically a F_O_R_D "off the line factory car".

It's a loaded question. LOL. but if true, 11.67 sure as heck is faster. So are the ZL-1 #'s you posted. ( I didn't hit reresh & didn't see the add'l posts) What were L-88 Vette's? Think the 1st ones were built in 66 but maybe it was 67. I just hope it wasn't a Mopar 426 Maxwedge.
