Keith Seymore's ride
Major props to a guy running that fast NA with a full interior! He has one of the cars that will continue to propel G3s to mainstream popularity. Congrats Keith

That 4600 lbs. is probably what the car is rated at at full load, max passengers, fuel, cargo, etc.

Re: Keith Seymore's ride
our 73 malibu weighed in at 4000lbs so full weight would probably be close to 4200lbs
Let me clarify
Iron headed 454 aluminum intake
TH400
dash, bench seat, rear seat was the only interior
AC all gone including firewall box

Re: Keith Seymore's ride
Meh..... This is a controversy that will likely never end. Some people have weighed in at over 4300 lbs, while I personally weighed a base 76 back in the day on a CAT scale that was somewhere in the neighborhood of 3500 lbs (been too long to remember the exact #). The weights are all over the place for these cars.
76 Base model, 350/350 combo, bench seat, not many options, AC removed, iron intake, headers & dual exhaust dumped at the axles if you want clarification.

Re: Keith Seymore's ride
Either way, you know that thing has some serious power to be pushing a car this big into the 9's. Not to mention it looks absolutely awesome!
Did anyone read the article about this car in PHR? It's a pretty neat read.

Re: Keith Seymore's ride
My first El Camino, a '73, weighed in at 4050 at the local grain elevator, with a full tank, which should be 208 lbs of gas. So 3842 would be the empty weight. Accessories will add up of course. That one had AC etc.
My '74 Malibu title sez 3950. So how close are title weights? Maybe just ball-park?

He said he is on other forums & doesn't have time. Â the Chevy talk '73/'77 chevelle forum doesn't have very much traffic....this forum is waaay better.
