Hi Limey
The rotisserie is from a plan I saw on the autobody101 site. A friend who has a small structural steel fab shop built it for me. I've been maintaining his airplane for 20 years, and he sorta owed me! The rotisserie is a bit too short on height to roll the body completely over, and I didn't check that before it was built. It worked great though, and there was no real need to roll it completely up side-down.
I doubt that a CNC rig would be required to make you a block off plate, but I'll make you one, one way or the other.

Re: pics
I don't believe 1/8" thick is gonna be enough. It could flex somewhat when bolted in place. I can make it from 1/4" plate, which wont bend, and stay flat for a good gasket seal.
I had to make one fir the 500 Caddy engine in my '75 Elco project, but I may replace the intake manifold with an aluminum Edelbrock piece, if I get the ambition to mod the hood for the air cleaner clearance.

Re: pics
The easy way to lay out a cover is usually using the EGR gasket for a template. If you have the correct gasket you can send it to me for the template. I'll PM my address if you want to do it that way.

Re: pics
Hi Tom
I didn't sand blast the the whole frame, just the difficult to reach areas, and used wire straight and cup wheels on my 4" grinder to polish off the surface rust. I didn't get exotic frame coatings etc, I used Rustoleum rusty metal primer and their semi-gloss black. I used my engine cleaning gun, to spray & fog primer and paint inside the frame and quarter panels etc on the body. Just trying to preserve the thing as best I can. I painted the insides of the doors and tail gate also.
The rotisserie was built by a friend that has a small steel company ( he owes me a lot of favors) I used a plan I found on the autobody101 site. One of my sons has already laid claim to it, for a '56 Pontiac project he has.
