74 to 70-72 bumper swap???
i finally bought this 1974 chevelle Laguna S3 ive been saving for three years for. Im not a huge fan of the rubber bump stops, any way I could bolt up a older style bumper from another chevelle? Would they fit? I want to change the fornt and rear.

Re: 74 to 70-72 bumper swap???
CDub to get the other bumpers to work on your car you have to completely remove the one piece laguna front end ( NOSE NOT FENDERS ) for its a urethane covered steel housing and would have to purchase the whole seperate assy NOT hard to find and easy to reinstall

Where are you located? I have everything you need. for a chrome bumper set up.
All 73-77 Chevelles & Malibus had chrome bumpers other than the Laguna models which had urethane front ends like Limey stated. Also, the 70-72 models are a completely different animal than the 73-77 Chevelles. Hardly anything interchanges with them.

My bad. Been a lot time since I looked at the pic.
Anyway, if you have the time and tools you can do anything you want.

I think what you are after is this...
That a '73 chevelle/El Camino front. You have to change the whole nose, less the fenders, But I don't think you will have trouble selling the old parts.

BUT if memory serve me right 73 bumper shocks are one year only. so he might have to use 74-77 bumper and shocks. So 74 would be his best bet..
BTW look where your jack holes are compared to the 73's. not that it matters and noway am i trying to start trouble, just givin my $0.02

Re: 74 to 70-72 bumper swap???
My 76 bumper is long gone. I'm now running a tucked 73 bumper.
They interchange, but 73 shocks MUST be used with a 73 bumper. Also the 76 bumper was actually smaller. Too bad I couldn't have kept it & tucked. Oh well.
