Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
Woot woot! Look for progress pics in the seriously near future! I had a small stump in the road recently, but as soon as my next check comes in I got everything back in order.
Well, let me go ahead & spill my guts on a few things that are happening at the moment. 350 swap, larger front sway bar, altitude adjustment (not saying which direction though, lol), drag bags, lightened bumpers, tucked front bumper, polishing wheels, 90/10 shocks up front & undecided out back. I'm buying some tails off of Juiced when I get paid, & I am debating on dropping in some Eclipse buckets with my B&M shifter. I'm gonna also check around for some boxed lower control arms, rear sway bar, & 3.42 gears. LOL it sounds like a lot, but I got tomorrow & Tuesday off. If the weather permits, a lot of this will be checked off my list by Wednesday.
74442guy, I might not be able to beat you yet, but I think a 150 shot could even things up a little..... maybe.

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
we bought some tubular rear control arms off, they were nice. has solid brass bushings and sway bar mounts. i think i have em posted in the suspension or links somewhere. I think they were less than $100 bucks
We drilled and tapped the bushings for grease certs too.
Thought you was coming down today?

Realized it was Valentine's Day. I've spent most of the day going through a couple of bottles of champagne with the wife. You available tomorrow or Tuesday? Let me know & I can come down either day.
For know though, I got some business to attend to.

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
So I was moving Brown Eye around the shop & crunched the driver side door today. $%$##!!&*!!! $$%#$@!!! Looks like she's due for a color change sooner than planned. Hmmm..... Project "Black Eye"? Sure is starting to feel that way.

Well black primer for now at least. I'm up in the air on colors though.
I've been tossing around 1970 Shadow Gray but maybe add a little pearl
or maybe Sunburst Orange. (Don't mind the ugly car, lol)
Here's what she will probably look like next time I post pics though:

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
I think you should stay with the brown eye color but make it more modern style paint

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
If you stay with a brown color, Furd had a nice shade on year 2000 or so Taurus.
Otherwise, I vote for the Sunburst Orange. It's different.

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
LOL, artist's rendering.....
If I do Gray, it will get the 73 base stripes either in black or white. I'm just not in the mood to try & draw them into the picture. If I go Orange, I haven't decided on hood stripes or just solid. Also note that the interior is black with blue accents & there's still tan parts that need changed. Not my choice, but done by the previous owner.
I am pretty bummed about the door, but it doesn't look like there is gonna be a crease. Well at least I can hope not. The passenger side had some minor scratches & the paint wasn't perfect in the first place, but this was the nail in the coffin.

Talk to Dan, they didn't come with the car. I have some 6 hole Rally wheels to put on it, but this one is the wife's so wheel choice is up to her.

Re: yee haw project brown eye lol
To be honest, since I got the 73 my car luck has been better... well other than today at least. The wife's Taurus mysteriously started running better & I have been scoring tons of cool car stuff for dirt cheap. Hmmm............
