Tips for Dash Removal?
Hi Yall!
I (very unfortunately) had a mice infestation that I thought I had control of until I brought my car out this year. I found a nest in the center vents in the dash and got that out. I took the blower motor housing off and found one in there. I also got one out from the cowl underneath the wipers. I took it for a drive just now and it still reaks when the vents are open. I think they may have made more nests in the ventilation system but I can't figure out how to get to them without taking the dash completely off. Do you guys have any tips or advice on how to go about this? It's a 1974 Chevelle Laguna S3.
Thank you!

Re: Tips for Dash Removal?
I just replaced my A/C equipped dash and I'm pretty sure that you can take most of the ventilation out without pulling the dash, but everything else like the radio, glovebox, etc. has to be removed and it's still a pain. If there's a nest around the heater core, I'm not sure that can be pulled with the dash still in. But maybe you can stick a vacuum's hose in there.
You can have some godawful residual smells in there with no residual material. A little mouse pee goes a long way.
