I will post again and maybe have some luck . I am looking for just the base of the driver side bucket set Please help if you can

I've been all over the webbernet and once in a while I've seen swivel seat bases on Ebay. Most people don't want to part out the seats as the value of them as a complete unit has skyrocketed. I just sold a guy a set of these buckets for a 77 El Camino he was restoring and he was very happy to pay $800 for them as they were in good shape. Here's some links to seats and bases to give you a better idea. There is a single base for sale but its $250. What's wrong with your base? I've repaired many with great success. Can you post pics of it? Hope this helps.

I will try and post some pics later this week .The lever that unlocks the seat broke .I tried welding it but seems like there is a lot of carbon the metal anyway the weld is awful and the seat just turns while driving

You are correct, the metal on that lever is hard but brittle. I think that's so it acts more like a spring. That lever can be repaired though. I've done a couple recently but had to add a piece of metal plate to reinforce the weld. It gives the lever a stiffer feel but it still works good.
