I cleaned the windows today and took them to storage to wait for the installation that will take place after a long time.

I cleaned the biggest grease from window mechanisms and door locks.
I will put the locks and bolts etc. in the ultrasonic cleaner.

I found new unused flowtech headers on a local sales site.
I removed the original paint and painted with heat resistant paint.

I made a new window stopper when the other original one was badly replaced.

A tip to cure the headers tank a Handheld propane torch to inside of tubes it help cure the paint and wont burn off as Much during driving each tube on inside from where it meets heads and then inside bottom

I painted the first small parts, the bottom with epoxy and the top with urethane paint. there are window guides, heating device parts and door sealing strips.

I assembled the housing of the heating device. all rusty flaps were in citric acid and then painted. a couple of flaps were in lemon acid with plastic cases because the shafts of the flaps were stuck. I also installed a new heater core.

I suppose you do an initial rinse with a mild (15-20g per 4L water) sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) solution to neutralize any residual acid followed by a final rinse with clean water?

The next time you need to do an acid bath, try oxalic acid. It works faster than citric acid and, like other organic acids, it doesn't dissolve the steel. Plus, it's biodegradable. Be sure to use latex or nitrile gloves and safety glasses.

I rinse the parts with hot water at 65 degrees Celsius.
i have a gallon of that citric acid so i'll use it up.
it's safe to use, you can put your bare hand in the container.

I got that Crate engine in my garage.
I removed parts of it. i clean and paint it.
it has a newly replaced camshaft, I'm trying to find out the type.
in addition, it has an rpm intake manifold, a holley 750 vac and a power starter motor.

I removed the old paint from the engine, it is now ready for painting.
I removed intake manifold, oil pan and timing cover and painted them separately.
looks good on the inside and I think that 1000 mile mileage is correct.
for assembly I ordered a set of bolts for the engine from ebay.

This would be impressive work if you were in NA. I just can't imagine this being done in Finland. Just incredible. I took a look at the Camaro project but I got queasy looking at the torso pictures. Are the regulations in Finland favorable to running these older cars as daily drivers or are they mainly for shows?

these old ones are mainly used in the summer, when there are quite a lot of old car events here.
