Re: cown decode?
At first glance, this is what I see.
1ae37 2 door sport coupe Laguna
19L 19U All black car
A65 bench seat with arm rest
19N Black vinyl deluxe interior.
If the car is a small block, take a look behind the alternator. Clean the area and you will notice the engine block sticks out a bit further than the cylinder head. There should be a number stamped there with some letters. That will give you the original last six digits of the VIN and the engine and trans combo it originally came with. As long as someone didnt "restamp" the block and/or changed the engine or trans.
Reissued VINs are for cars that had their original, factory installed, vin plate removed for some reason like theft, retagged (stolen) or possibly rotted away and someone went the legal way to get a vin for it.

Re: cown decode?
You are correct...#19 indicates Black upper and lower. Also, the #19N A65 indicates a Black bench seat interior.
ST 76N verifies a 1976
1AE37 verifies it's a Laguna S-3
D 105239 verifies it was built in Doraville, Ga (D). Numbers are just a production sequence number)
01A would indicate a build date of 1st week(A) of January(01)
Not sure what the 11A indicates (possibly white body side stripes)

Re: cown decode?
01A, that should have rang a bell for me. Same build date week as my 73.

Re: cown decode?
Is it possible that body tag was removed from another Laguna? Would think you'd see evidence hidden somewhere that it was originally a black car.
