No car shows!
I’m sure everyone is in the same boat as me, every car show in my area has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Since we can’t go out and see nice cars, I was thinking that we could have an online car show. We have all seen each other’s cars through intro and build threads, but how about posting some recent pictures and a brief description of your cars.
I’ll start it with mine. It’s a 1977 El Camino with 30k original miles with original paint and interior. Engine is a stock 305 with chrome accessories. It replaces an identical first car. I have owned it for 20 years.

Re: No car shows!
Well, mine is still in the building process. It’s a 1976 Laguna S3. It is a major project that has had a complete frame swap with all Global West suspension added. It now has Wilwood brakes, 496 BBC, TREMEC 6-speed, and all redone interior. I have not had a chance to work on it in quite some time. Right now I am installing a Painless wiring kit. g3chevy has come over a couple of times and that’s a great help.

Re: No car shows!
Every Friday morning once the snow melts, Hagerty has a "Cars and Caffeine" at the home office. They have already announced they are cancelled until further notice. Many of the other local gatherings are also on hold.
I personally wish I had more time to work on my stuff, but right now I am playing the Waiting Game. I am waiting on the machine shop to balance my engine, and my body guy to have room to work on my stuff!

Re: No car shows!
3 years ago: Hooker longtubes and stainless to the back
2 years ago: 273 rear end swapped out for a 342
Last year: High grade rear bumper and strip swapped out to bring car back to S3 appearance
Engine and transmission rebuild
This year: So far; Control arm bushings and new shock absorbers on all 4 corners
Next: New rubber all around
Wish I could afford to do something about the four different shades of medium orange on four different panels

Thank you sir! Love the stance of your Monte. Do you have 17's or 18's for wheels?

I'm just itching to get your Laguna on the road! Hurry up and get the Camaro done so we can get back on this beast!

Thanks! Mine are 17x9's. 275/40 series up front, 275/50 in the back. Probably going to do 50 in front also -- 40's seem kinda small to me.

Yeah, I like tires with a little sidewall height for a better ride and look. Our cars have plenty of room inside the wheel wells for just about any wheel/tire combination.

Re: No car shows!
This is what I went with. 315/35/20 tires bolt right up. They have some side wall and you can get some good speed rated tires in that size. The front tires are 275/40/20 so the front and rear are the same height. g3chevy, come help me put the engine in my Camaro, then we can get the Laguna finished before I disappear again.

Re: No car shows!
Now that's what I'm talking about...meat on those tires! I'm in for doing the motor on the Camaro now that I got my motor broke in on the El Camino. So I'm guessing you already picked up the LS7 from the machine shop?

Hi Hawk.....
Lookin good!!!! Had mine out for the first time last Thursday. A twenty mile "shake down". Found I have a leak in the speedometer housing on the side of the Trans. ….where the cable goes inserts.
Going over to the GM Nationals in Carlisle , PA. in a couple of weeks.
Theme this year for you Monte Carlo guys...…...CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF MONTE CARLO.
