Chip Foose Overhaulin' '77 El Camino
Did anyone else see this episode? I only caught the end of it, but they tricked out this kids Camino with a Laguna nose cone. It was really cool to see one of our cars get some love... only problem is... I can definatly throw my dreams of having my El Camino 'Overhauled'.

Re: Chip Foose Overhaulin' '77 El Camino
Surely it is.
The blue he used is really close to the blue on my truck! The interior was really nice, but I'd never was a white interior... or racing seats... or a white dash...
What I really like was the custom taunau cover! I'd love to have one of those.

if your talking about the bed cover, gaylords in in santa fe springs california makes really nice fiberglass ones, they run about 1200 bucks though

Re: Chip Foose Overhaulin' '77 El Camino
It was one of the early episodes, when they were still doing some cars other than 60s muscle and hippy cars. (remember the VW bus and the chicks Star themed SUV?)
I think it's been cancelled, haven't seen a new one for a while. One of the hosts is hocking car wax for surf city with the Trucks chick, and the other (AJ?) is doing the import show on speed.
It was getting a little played out anyway, all the cars were starting to look alike- Two-tone with silver or gold and some other color.
The El Camino was one of the earlier and better ones, I think.

JB, thats a sweet looking 74 you got there...is that a trans am decal on the hood? ive seen something like that on 80's GMC Cabelleros and some el caminos, wondering if you were just a screaming chicken fan? or if that was some kind of special edition thing for the elcos. Either way, nice looking 74, I'll have to get some more pics of mine up.

.Thanks for the pics. After seeing them I was sorely disappointed and changed my mind about ordering that DVD of the show. I liked the paint job and the color mixture of the interior, but thats about all. I did like the Laguna snout. JBTWBouska wrote:Limey wrote:email sent TW

yeah i gotta agree with you man, the car itself was somewhat disapointing, i did like the color, but i didnt care for the sparco seats, and the wave pattern itself on the paint, still much improved over what it was, havent seen the car around yet though, kinda been hoping to see it when i cruise hunington.
