Almost bought a set of 15x8 vette rallys at a swap meet today. After leaving I got to thinking about the backspace. Were all original wheels the same backspace or was there any variations over the years? I’m sure I am going to regret not buying them.

This sounds like a obvious question but would the back space be measured from the back of the wheel to the outer edge of the rim? Was the stock 15x7 for our cars also a 4 inch backspace?
