Call me a traitor, but I'd look for a 91-96 Caprice/Roadmaster wagon.
Preferably with the LT1.

Those things were AWESOME and can be built into a mean hauler.
Still pretty cheap too.

It's an Arizona car with factory air and power windows,  It has the original motor trans and rear end, new long tube headers with dual exhaust with Gibson mufflers it also has new quick ratio steering box, pitman arm, center link, brakes, air shocks, electric distributor, all 5 tires with matching full size spare, original wheels with new tires, oracle halo headlights w/ h4 conversion, 05 Monte Carlo seats and console, caprice mirrors, led bulbs in the dash, new window and door seals, tinted windows, new poa delete and expansion valve for the AC, compressor is rebuilt, the AC works but does have a leak at a condenser fitting..
I have all the original parts pulled from the car and a lot of extra parts as well..
This car is a 2 time power tour longer and has been featured on hotrod.com and made the September 2016 issue of hotrod. This is a great car and hate to let it go but life happens..

I don't know. I had this picture in my Laguna folder on my computer for some reason. Just for reference. I kept this pic because I liked the car. BTW, I am in Laguna Madre right now. I had a Laguna burger in New Mexico a couple of weeks ago and I have been to Laguna Seca.

Derek's wagon is as dead nuts reliable as you can get. That's a car you can get in a go anywhere with while you do save up for paint and interior.
