Not G3 related
Guys, I'm putting in an aux. trans cooler in an '04 Impala. I have the Hayden 397 nipple thats good for all Gm 2000+ cars and trucks but I have a better idea.
I'm looking for a piece of the stock metal tranny line. A piece that comes out of the rad and makes a 90 turn. I'd like about 12 inch piece of it.
The 2000 and newer dont use any threads, just a snap ring that you can pop off with a small screwdriver. Then the line comes out of the rad.
My idea is, I would take the piece and use a tubing bender and turn it so it faces the front of the vehicle. It would be so much neater and take up less engine compartment space. Otherwise I have to run the rubber hose through the rad support, towards the firewall and loop it back towards the rad support so it doesnt kink.
I've installed quite a few of these over the years and I never cut the original lines in case I want to remove it for some reason.
Anyone have access to a parts vehicle ? Please message with a price with shipping. Going to hit craigslist now. Thanks
Here's a pic of my stock line still connected. The black ring just slides back to reveal the snap ring you pop off. The snap ring looks just like the clip on our car window crank handles.

Thanks Ant. I was just thinking that. Might hit him up tomorrow. Hope he will sell just a piece of the line. Thanks

Guys, I got a factory piece of trans line from an impala. Got it from the auto parts yard that Ant7377 recommended.
Thanks guys. Mods can delete this thread.
