After seeing Tom's 77 malibu and his garage with a blue challenger I thought I'd post my other two toys....Though, truth be told, the Camaro is my wife's SS toy., though I reap the benefits Smile

Thats a nice collection you have Keith. I read about the 65 GTO a few weeks back in a mag and had thought that the name looked familar. That's a great story. Are you a magazine contributor?

Aside from my Montes I have a 09 Pontiac G8 GT. Wife's daily right now but come this summer or fall it becomes nice weather only car. Time to replace my 99 Buick Regal GS this year😕. I daily a 2011 Legacy too...yawn.

I have just two G3s, my '74 Malibu, and the just finished (body off resto) '75 El Camino, powered by a 507 inch Caddy engine. I have a low mileage 2003 Chevy pickup (34,000 miles) and a low mileage '93 Buick Park avenue Ultra ( I like how the supercharger works !). And my wife likes her old "94 Jeep Cherokee better than the Buick. Trouble is, the dam Jeep always needs work ! Very Happy

I dont have pics to upload, but i drive a 91 f150, it was passed down to me. 2001 yamaha roadstar, and currently i daily a 2008 dodge magnum. My wife's toy is the magnum, but she is currently driving a 2005 chrysler sebring. I dont understand why, but i commute 55 miles one way to work 2x's a week. She would rather drive the sebring right now, i think, she probably assumes the more i drive the magnum i might start doing some upgrades to it.

RevinKevin - we are fairly well connected:

I was the Asst Engineering Manager on the Cadillac Escalade programs; I also wrote the original engineering concept for what became the Hummer H2 (and was the guy who turned the lights out in 2008), and spent about a decade building and developing the old C/K pickups ('73-'87), starting in 1979.

Hey Keith. I remember talking with you about the 1986 C-10 last year. To bad they quit making the Hummer H2. In 2008 and 2009 they had got a good thing going. 6.2 engine with 6-speed automatic. Interior was a big upgrade. This one can get 14mpg!!! Usually 11mpg, but who's checks that?

I wish I could post a video of the bottom of the '86. You could check and see if this is how they looked coming off the line.

The Escalade has out ran many cars. That would have been a great engine to have in 1970 when the Camaro came out. The Camaro is getting an LS7/T56 upgrade right now.

The SS is a 2001 SLP equipped car. It had 36000 original miles when I picked it up last year. Now it has a cam, .390 gears, and other upgrades. 0-100 in 12 seconds and 27mpg.

Agree; They were rated 403 HP (net) in an Escalade; 398HP in an H2 due to exhaust and induction changes.

We were working on what was going to be the 2011 H2 at the time. GM Pre-production Operations purchased brand new 2008 H2 complete vehicles, removed the bodies from the frame and sold the rolling chassis (plural - maybe 12 or 15 or so) to a local boneyard as part of our "asset recovery" program. I was aggressively looking for a classic car, less engine and trans, to slam that powertrain into.

I had a line on a low mileage '63 Grand Prix in Ohio but it got away from me when I went on vacation. After I found the GP that I actually purchased the whole deal fell apart.

My daily is a 1998 K1500 Suburban with a bastard spring pack (stock mixed with 3500 truck springs) in the back and torsion bar crank to level for 2" lift sitting on 33s. No pics, but it recently got a facelift with new light fixtures all the way around.
