My chevelle video
Thought I'd post this up again for the new members.
This is my 73 SS before I stripped it to bare metal 4 years ago. I got alot of ripping from my buddies about stripping it down but I did it anyway. LOL
Enjoy.

Love it Joe. You going to keep the stance stance, or a little lower?

Re: My chevelle video
Definitely a little lower. In the video the car is running big block, heavy duty with a/c springs all around. When I removed the lower shock bolt, the shock would only extend about 2 inches. So when I drove it around the suspension would "top out" on certain bumps.
The springs in it now are 350 heavy duty. No a/c or anything. I figure the car will still have a rake to it since I'm upping the rear tire diameter to 28". That will also help with the 4.10 gears.

Very cool Joe. So it'll still have that 70's cool stance. Nice!

Re: My chevelle video
I love the 70-80s vipe you Got going on there, im kind of tired of all the original cars around. And since im a Child of the 80s i love the musclecars of that periode. I used to go and watch the us cars Cruise in Copenhagen saturday Night. And i could stand there and watch for hours soaking the sound and wipe as one after another would go by rumbling, my dad would Shake his head and ask why they where so High up in the rear, or why anyone felt the need to paint the frame yellow or white. He had a hard time understanding my love for tunnelrams and carbs through the hood. But now he kind of gets it after a lifetime of doughnuts and going sideways in one of my old cars.
I even offered him to drive my chevelle last summer after 5 years of restauration, but he was to scared to drive it cause he ment it was Way to powerfull for him to handle. I actually Said he should drive it like he stole it.
Anyways i love your car and i cant wait to see it done. I hope you havent removed to much of the 70s look.

Re: My chevelle video
Thank you very much. I'm keeping it with the same look, just going more original with the body and interior. Basically, I'm putting on the original stripes and putting the bench seat back in. The rest will be the same. The motor will have a bunch more work done to it. And the battery will be back under the hood. Centerlines still all around.

Re: My chevelle video
You are welcome. I have had a urge for a long time to build another car in pure 70-80s style. Maybe a elcamino, i was thinking white frame and Real deep candy red. Lots of crome, and raised rear. But im low on time and space, so im waiting for the right car comes along.
