Finally back working on the Chevelle again.
Hi all. It's been a couple years since I put the LS in my sons 75 Chevelle. I never did get it finished because I needed to tend to some other pressing family issues. Things have settled down and my son and I are getting back to the garage to get the Chevelle finished up for the spring. Here is what all has been done so far:
Installed LSx engine and 4L60E trans with computer and harness. Engine has fired but harness still needs to be finished and the computer mounted.
New gas tank with internal fuel pump. Corvette regulator mounted on frame.
New 2" drop Detroit Speed coils and lower arms on the front, New 2" drops springs on the rear.
11/4 sway bars front and rear.
Totally rebuilt 3.73 posi axle in rear.
Swapped out steering gear for a trans am close ratio one.
Swapped out steering column for a floor shift one and installed floor shifter.
Really all the hard work is done. We just need to button up the electrical and chase down some issues (gas gauge not working) Get the mounts made up for the swivel buckets and install correct seat belts. Finally clean the 2 years of dust off the car.
Here are a couple pics of the car.

Thanks guys! I am off tomorrow and we plan on spending all day and Saturday in the garage. With a little luck we will have the bulk of the work done. Then just need to get the swivel buckets and back seat recovered and installed and she should be ready for the first burn out!

I love the color. If the interior of my 1976 Malibu was black, I would have painted it a red color like yours.

Re: Finally back working on the Chevelle again.
So after 2 heart attacks the Chevelle project is moving again. My son is home from the service and we fired up the wood stove and reacquainted ourselves with the project. We got the PCM mounted today and order the tcc brake switch to work with the 4L60E. We have to mount the auxilary fuse block and find out why the gas gauge is not working. Then on to fabricating the mounts for the swivel buckets and console.
