Re: 1975 grand AM 455 the pissed off GrandMA
oh boy been a wile sense i made an update wish i actually had some tangible progress most i have is parts bought that have yet to make it on the car LOL
first things first got some seat belts that i think? will work with the car
4th gen camaro seat belts the seam to bolt into the roof i will have to make a out rear seat mount and mount the lower belt anchor there but i think i finally have seat belts
next up form one of my other projects that is also on the back burner is some electric fans. they are form a 97-03 grand Prix fit the rad opening perfectly
now i have also started on the brakes i got new lines master, prop valve (for a rear disc 2nd gen f-body) line lock.
i already had the LS1 f-body rear disc set up and i have front cpp spindles for the c5 brakes
biggest issue is i have started putting the fenders on and even with a giant door panel gap the door still hits it when it opens. the door also does not want to close or latch no matter how i adjust it. both doors are like this. driver door is original passenger door is from a '77. both rear quarters are from different cars but still original sheet metal
and how the door lines up with the rear quarter. looks like i need to move the rear of the door out but move the front of the door in. this is proving difficult to impossible

From this angle it looks more like the door needs to move forward. If it's indeed too far in, IIRC the striker has some adjustability to it -- if you loosen it up, you could possibly move it outward a bit. Also, are the door bumpers in place on the door? Not having those in place will make the door appear too far in when closed.
For the front, it looks like the fender needs to come out a bit -- I don't know how much you can adjust the door 'in' on that end.

so got the pass side more or less good door needs to go rearward a bit but sits nice with the body and does not hit the fender
with the help of electrical tape got the door to shut nice and easy as well
